Great start to 2022

This year has started off with great fishing and high water levels.

We have had some serious rain in the catchments giving all the rivers and streams a good flush and keeping the water temperatures down. Most of the higher streams are clearing quickly with some great dry fly fishing up high.

Cicadas are chirping and there is usually Dun hatches in the afternoons. There are lots of Terrestrials about and the fish are looking up. Slow and careful is the way to find good fish so it is worthwhile to sit on a pool and wait for fish to show.

Lake Jindabyne has dropped slightly but is still fishing well along the edges, small nymphs and lightly weighted streamers are working and Mudeye patterns in the evenings. Lake Eucumbene has been exceptional and is still rising over grass. There are lots of Rainbows on the edges and they are growing!! Some great Browns are in amongst them which will test your gear.

The shop has been busy and we have worked hard to find gear as it is very difficult to source, transport costs are very high and take time to deliver.

We are well stocked with flies, rods, reels, waders and boots so call in and get the latest on what is happening around the area.

Cheers and Happy New Year
